Ark Animal Hospital
3648 Berryhill Rd. Pace, FL
Ark animal hospital a veterinary clinic for dogs and cats
Dr. Summerlin started our hospital, as an individual veterinarian with a very small clinic, in December 1992. The practice was originally located on Hwy 90. Over the years, Ark has grown to accommodate the needs of our community, and as of 2007, a new location on Berryhill Road. Even though the practice has grown, his philosophy of a "Small Animal Hospital with a Big Heart" has prevailed. He feels it is important to treat clients and their pets as family.
Dr. Summerlin is married and has three children and a daughter-in-law. His extended family also lives in the area. Charlie, a Golden Retriever, one cat and two horses complete his family.
Dr. Summerlin received his DVM degree from Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine. He is an avid football and baseball fan!

Dr. Donalyn Sauser received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She has spent most of her career practicing emergency medicine in the Midwest, primarily just outside Chicago.
She finds client education a rewarding part of medicine. She loves to help owners understand the steps needed to determine their pet's illness as well as what therapy is best for that individual. She strongly believes that a pet's love is the best gift.
In her free time, Dr. Sauser enjoys traveling and exploring new places. She also likes being outdoors, especially if on or in the water! This includes scuba diving with whale sharks and manta rays! When not outside, she is entertained by the daily antics of her cat, Mahi-mahi.

She practiced in Elizabethtown, KY for two years before moving to Florida in 1989. She has worked at the emergency hospital in our area, but Ark has been her home for many years. She is also an Adjunct Professor at Pensacola State College in the veterinary technician program. This program continues to be a success and we attribute that to her!
She is married with multiple pets: cats, dog, and horses. She also is an avid apiarist (bee keeper).
