David Summerlin started our hospital as an individual veterinarian with a very small clinic in December 1992.
The practice was originally located on Highway 90. Over the years, Ark Animal Hospital has grown to accommodate the needs of our community and, as of 2007, a new location on Berryhill Road.
Even though the practice has grown, his philosophy of a "Small Animal Hospital with a Big Heart" has prevailed. He feels it is important to treat clients and their pets as family.
Dr. Summerlin is married and has three children, a daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren (The current stars of his life). His extended family also lives in the area. Charlie and Titan, Golden Retrievers, one cat, and two horses complete his family.
Dr. Summerlin received his DVM degree from Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine. He is an avid football and baseball fan!
His areas of interest include veterinary family practice.
